I recently tried to turn on screen mirroring from my iPhone to my TV via Chromecast to show my friends photos and videos. I connected everything, but for some reason a black picture appeared on the TV instead of the phone screen. I tried rebooting everything, but to no avail. Maybe someone knows what the problem might be and how to do it?

I don't use mirroring very often, but I was wondering if it could be used for gaming? It would be interesting to try playing on a big screen, although it probably wouldn't be very convenient with the lag. Has anyone tried it?
I had a similar situation. It turned out that the problem was in the incorrect settings of the application. Try using the free app to cast iPhone to TV, there are detailed steps on how to set up mirroring. I managed to do everything after I changed the application. It is also important that both the phone and Chromecast are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If you have a dual-band router, it is better to choose 5 GHz - this way there is less chance of lag.
